Medical Assistant

Western NC Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time medical assistant.  Ideal candidate will have prior experience, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting.   Our clinical hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 7:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Medical Assists typically work four, ten hour shifts or five, eight hour shifts (with one hour paid lunch break).  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.

Pharmacy Technician

Behavioral Health Qualified Professional

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center, seeks a full-time Behavioral Health Qualified Professional. Applicant must have the knowledge and skills to screen, assess and assist patients in crisis; coordinate and manage services for patients across care settings (inpatient - outpatient), levels of care (primary care - specialty care), and functional status (unstable - stable); and support the Office Based Opioid Treatment program by screening patients, ensure patient engagement, ensure patient adherence to treatment plan and follow-up care management. Applicant must possess a Bachelor Degree in human services (psychology, social work or a behavioral science). Administrative Services Associate I

Western North Carolina Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time Administrative Services Associate.  The Administrative Services Associate is an entry level position that requires excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.  Medical office experience is preferred.  This position is responsible for greeting and registering patients upon arrival; notifying appropriate personnel; scheduling follow-up visits; canceling and rescheduling appointments; obtaining and entering  patient demographic information into our database, as well as distributing pertinent information (i.e., insurance information) to other departments; collecting service fees and co-pays; answering phone calls and re-routing them  to the appropriate personnel. Essential qualifications include attention to detail, flexibility, the ability to multitask, and adapt to a fast paced environment.  Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and patient confidentiality preferred.
