Clinical Coordinator

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS), a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), seeks a full-time Clinical Coordinator (CC).  The CC will function as the lead nursing staff member, as well as the liaison to all clinical departments.  The CC will serve as the Infection Control Nurse and work closely with the Employee Health Nurse.  In coordination with the COO and CMO the CC will support and implement Care Transformation initiatives.  The CC will be responsible for providing nursing care through the use of Standing Orders, clinic procedures and nursing policies and procedures; training of clinical staff (RNs, MAs, etc.); maintaining appropriate staff schedules; and filling in as needed on care teams and other nursing roles.  The CC will also participate in quality and risk management committees.  Associates or Bachelor level Registered Nurse holding a current North Carolina Nursing license, as well as current BLS certification; and three to five years of acute care or outpatient ambulatory care with at least two years of experience supervising and managing staff in a clinical setting are required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and advanced knowledge of medical terminology are also required.  Expert knowledge of outpatient clinic operations and familiarity with the role of FQHCs in the community is preferred.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are desired but is not required.  We offer a very competitive salary as well as an excellent benefits package.  Candidates may apply in person at Minnie Jones Health Center, 257 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 or send resume and cover letter (MS Word or PDF formats only) by e-mail to employment@wncchs.org or US mail to Director of Human Resources, PO Box 338, Asheville, NC 28802. Chief Operating Officer

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Asheville, NC, is seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO).  The COO will ensure that all patient access and clinical services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.  The COO will collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Dental Officer, Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Executive Officer to maximize clinical productivity and efficiency, which includes monitoring utilization and productivity benchmarks.  Candidates will possess a graduate degree in health administration, clinical professional or a health related field..  Experience in PCMH, practice transformation, quality improvement activities, finance and electronic health records is a plus. Experience as a senior manager in a FQHC or large primary health care practice is required (minimum 5 years).  Our clinic hours are M-Th, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  The salary range for this position is $99, 310 - $155,020, and the starting salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.  In addition to a very competitive salary, we offer an excellent benefits package.  Applicants should send resume (or CV) and cover letter (Microsoft Word or PDF format) via email to employment@wncchs.org or via US Postal Service to Director of Human Resources, P.O. Prenatal Support Specialist

Western NC Community Health Services has an opening for a full-time Prenatal Support Specialist.  Ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years prior experience in prenatal medical office or agency that serves prenatal patients, as well as familiarity with Medicaid during pregnancy.  The Prenatal Support Specialist must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.  The Prenatal Support Specialist will educate prenatal patients about the prenatal program and other services available at WNCCHS; interpret for staff and translate for patients during office visits; assist prenatal patients in applying for Medicaid by working with DHS Case Worker and Patient Assistance program for timely applications.  Work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5 pm (with one hour paid lunch break) and limited evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.  Candidates may email resume/cover letter (MS Word format) to employment@wncchs.org or mail to Director of Human Resources, P.O. Medical Assistant

Western NC Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time medical assistant.  Ideal candidate will have prior experience, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting.   Our clinical hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 7:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Medical Assists typically work four, ten hour shifts or five, eight hour shifts (with one hour paid lunch break).  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.
