Award of $167,000 for Integrated Behavioral Health

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is excited to announce the recent award by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of $167,000 for Integrated Behavioral Health. The funding is specifically provided to expand substance abuse and mental health services to those impacted by opioid addiction. HRSA awarded similar funding to 34 health centers across North Carolina for a total award of $5,630,389 to continue addressing this national, state and local crisis.

WNNCHS will use these funds to hire additional staff and to further support our Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) Program. WNCCHS is committed to offering these services as our community continues our collaborative efforts to end this epidemic in Buncombe County, and western North Carolina.
