Patient Revenue Office Assistant

Western North Carolina Community Health Services, Inc. has a vacancy for a full-time Patient Revenue Office Assistant.  The Patient Revenue Office Assistant is an entry level position that requires excellent customer service and computer skills.  This position is responsible for compiling, computing and recording billing information; verifying, sorting/filtering information prior to entry/scanning into various databases; and verifying accuracy of data prior to entry into databases.  The Patient Revenue Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Billing Specialists with data entry, no billing experience is required.  Ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to details; easily adapt to an ever changing electronic records environment; ability to work in a team environment; adapt to a fast passed environment; and possess excellent communication skills.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates desired.  Work hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (with one hour paid lunch break) and NO evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.

Administrative Services Associate I

Western North Carolina Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time Administrative Services Associate.  The Administrative Services Associate is an entry level position that requires excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.  Medical office experience is preferred.  This position is responsible for greeting and registering patients upon arrival; notifying appropriate personnel; scheduling follow-up visits; canceling and rescheduling appointments; obtaining and entering  patient demographic information into our database, as well as distributing pertinent information (i.e., insurance information) to other departments; collecting service fees and co-pays; answering phone calls and re-routing them  to the appropriate personnel. Essential qualifications include attention to detail, flexibility, the ability to multitask, and adapt to a fast paced environment.  Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and patient confidentiality preferred.

Medical Assistant

Western NC Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time medical assistant.  Ideal candidate will have prior experience, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting.   Our clinical hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 7:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Medical Assists typically work four, ten hour shifts or five, eight hour shifts (with one hour paid lunch break).  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.

Advanced Practice Clinician

Western NC Community Health Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center, seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) with at least 3 to 5 years of primary care experience to provide primary care for its busy outpatient clinic.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years experience in women’s health and prenatal care (though deliveries are not performed).  In a multidisciplinary team setting, the provider is expected to manage the primary medical and behavioral health needs of low-income/uninsured adult patients. Fluency in Spanish or Russian/Ukrainian is highly preferred.  Once employed the provider may be eligible for educational loan repayment.  Currently our providers work four, ten hour shifts per week, with no evening, weekend or holidays required.  Additionally, no hospital calls required.

Care Coordination Coordinator

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS), a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), seeks a full-time Care Coordination Coordinator (CCC) for our Care Coordination program. The CCC is part of an interdisciplinary team whose responsibilities are the coordination of activities for the patients of a primary care/HIV care practice who directly supports WNCCHS’ highest risk patients.  The Coordinator will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and providing care management services to patients who are most at risk for health deterioration, sentinel events and/or poor outcomes.  The Coordinator will develop a tracking system for patient care coordination and care management, including transitions such as hospital admissions and specialty care, as well as oversee systems for identifying high risk patients through EMR, referrals and health insurance payers.  The Coordinator will directly supervise the Case Manager RNs, Medical Social Workers, Medical Assistant and Referral Specialists within the Care Coordination program.  Applicant must be a Master Level prepared RN with a minimum of three to five years of experience.  Prior work experience can be substituted for the master’s degree requirement.  Experience in case management, disease management, home health care nursing, hospital nursing or intensive outpatient education or managed care environment is required.  Knowledge of the FQHC role in the community is also desired.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products are required.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are desired but is not required.  We offer a very competitive salary as well as an excellent benefits package.

Care Coordinator Medical Social Worker

The Medical Social Worker is part of an interdisciplinary team whose responsibilities are the coordination of activities for the patients of a primary care/HIV care practice who directly supports WNCCHS’ highest risk patients.  Applicant must have prior experience in care/case management and expert knowledge of medical office operations.  Knowledge of the FQHC role in the community is also desired.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products are required.  Minimum educational requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work or psychology. Assistant Director of Patient Assistance

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) has a full-time position available for an Assistant Director of Patient Assistance.  Essential qualifications include a minimum of three years as a patient assistance specialist at WNCCHS; working knowledge of Ryan White, MARP and Pharmacy Assistance Programs.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficient use of Microsoft Office products.  Expert knowledge of medical office operations is required and familiarity of the FQHC role in the community is preferred.  The Assistant Director will oversee the Ryan White patient assistance program.  High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate Degree in Human Services is preferred.  Certification as a Certified Application Counselor for the Affordable Care Act is required.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but is not required.  We offer a very competitive salary as well as an excellent benefits package.

Licensed Counselor - Bilingual Therapist

Western North Carolina Community Health Services, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center, is hiring a full-time licensed counselor.  Candidate must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related Human Services field with appropriate license to practice, such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) is required.  A minimum of three years experience working with culturally diverse populations, preferably Hispanic, with mental health/substance abuse and related disorders is required.  Candidates with prior integrated care experience are preferred.  Work hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm (with one hour paid lunch break) and NO evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.  Successful candidate may also qualify for educational loan repayment assistance.
