Human Resources Assistant

Western NC Community Health Services has an opening for a full-time Human Resources Assistant.  Ideal candidate will be bilingual (English and Spanish), but is not required.  Prior experience in human resources, electronic timekeeping, payroll processing, benefits enrollment, new hire orientation and I-9/E-Verify requirements are required.  The HR Assistant responsibilities include payroll processing, Federal and State labor compliance issues, employment credentialing, benefits enrollment, and employee relations.   Candidates must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.  Work hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5 pm (with one hour paid lunch break) and NO evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.  Candidates may email resume/cover letter (MS Word format) to employment@wncchs.org or mail to Director of Human Resources, P.O. Patient Revenue Associate

Western North Carolina Community Health Services, Inc. has a vacancy for a full-time Patient Revenue Associate.  The Patient Revenue Associate position requires excellent customer service, advanced computer skills as well as knowledge of medical billing procedures and payer guidelines.  This position is responsible for compiling, computing and recording billing information, as well as preparing electronic transmissions to third-party payers and reconciling payments to patients’ accounts.  These tasks will require maintaining several databases; reviewing claims denials; monitoring unpaid claims to ensure processing within the standard billing cycle for third party insurers.  Ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to details; easily adapt to an ever changing electronic records environment; ability to work in a team environment; adapt to a fast paced environment; and possess excellent communication skills.  Work hours will be eight hours per day Monday – Friday, and will range from 8 am – 5 pm (with one hour paid lunch break) and NO evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.

Patient Revenue Office Assistant

Western North Carolina Community Health Services, Inc. has a vacancy for a full-time Patient Revenue Office Assistant.  The Patient Revenue Office Assistant is an entry level position that requires excellent customer service and computer skills.  This position is responsible for compiling, computing and recording billing information; verifying, sorting/filtering information prior to entry/scanning into various databases; and verifying accuracy of data prior to entry into databases.  The Patient Revenue Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Billing Specialists with data entry, no billing experience is required.  Ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to details; easily adapt to an ever changing electronic records environment; ability to work in a team environment; adapt to a fast passed environment; and possess excellent communication skills.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates desired.  Work hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (with one hour paid lunch break) and NO evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.

Medical Assistant

Western NC Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time medical assistant.  Ideal candidate will have prior experience, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting.   Our clinical hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 7:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Medical Assists typically work four, ten hour shifts or five, eight hour shifts (with one hour paid lunch break).  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.
