Pharmacy Office Assistant

Medical Assistant

Western NC Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time medical assistant.  Ideal candidate will have prior experience, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting.   Our clinical hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 7:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Medical Assists typically work four, ten hour shifts or five, eight hour shifts (with one hour paid lunch break).  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.

Administrative Services Associate I

Western North Carolina Community Health Services has a vacancy for a full-time Administrative Services Associate.  The Administrative Services Associate is an entry level position that requires excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.  Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukranian) candidates desired, but not required.  Medical office experience is preferred.  This position is responsible for greeting and registering patients upon arrival; notifying appropriate personnel; scheduling follow-up visits; canceling and rescheduling appointments; obtaining and entering  patient demographic information into our database, as well as distributing pertinent information (i.e., insurance information) to other departments; collecting service fees and co-pays; answering phone calls and re-routing them  to the appropriate personnel. Essential qualifications include attention to detail, flexibility, the ability to multitask, and adapt to a fast paced environment.  Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and patient confidentiality preferred.

Patient Revenue Associate

Western North Carolina Community Health Services, Inc. has a vacancy for a full-time Patient Revenue Associate.  The Patient Revenue Associate position requires excellent customer service, advanced computer skills as well as knowledge of medical billing procedures and payer guidelines.  This position is responsible for compiling, computing and recording billing information, as well as preparing electronic transmissions to third-party payers and reconciling payments to patients’ accounts.  These tasks will require maintaining several databases; reviewing claims denials; monitoring unpaid claims to ensure processing within the standard billing cycle for third party insurers.  Ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to details; easily adapt to an ever changing electronic records environment; ability to work in a team environment; adapt to a fast paced environment; and possess excellent communication skills.  Work hours will be eight hours per day Monday – Friday, and will range from 8 am – 5 pm (with one hour paid lunch break) and NO evening, weekend or holiday work required.  We offer a very competitive salary, along with an excellent benefits package.  Candidates may email resume/cover letter (MS Word format) to employment@wncchs.org ; mail to Director of Human Resources, P.O. Patient Assistance Specialist

Applicant must have experience and skills to assess financial need for medical assistance, as well as assist in obtaining documentation to qualify patients for public/private health care and medication assistance programs. Clinical Coordinator

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS), a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), seeks a full-time Clinical Coordinator (CC).  The CC will function as the lead nursing staff member, as well as the liaison to all clinical departments.  The CC will serve as the Infection Control Nurse and work closely with the Employee Health Nurse.  In coordination with the COO and CMO the CC will support and implement Care Transformation initiatives.  The CC will be responsible for providing nursing care through the use of Standing Orders, clinic procedures and nursing policies and procedures; training of clinical staff (RNs, MAs, etc.); maintaining appropriate staff schedules; and filling in as needed on care teams and other nursing roles.  The CC will also participate in quality and risk management committees.  Associates or Bachelor level Registered Nurse holding a current North Carolina Nursing license, as well as current BLS certification; and three to five years of acute care or outpatient ambulatory care with at least two years of experience supervising and managing staff in a clinical setting are required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and advanced knowledge of medical terminology are also required.  Expert knowledge of outpatient clinic operations and familiarity with the role of FQHCs in the community is preferred.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are desired but is not required.  We offer a very competitive salary as well as an excellent benefits package.  Candidates may apply in person at Minnie Jones Health Center, 257 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 or send resume and cover letter (MS Word or PDF formats only) by e-mail to employment@wncchs.org or US mail to Director of Human Resources, PO Box 338, Asheville, NC 28802.
