Kim
Wagenaar
Chief Executive Officer
Kim has worked in health care for over thirty years and last twenty in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). Kim has worked in FQHC’s Illinois, Colorado and North Carolina where she has developed and managed programs that have provided primary care, oral and behavioral health in a variety of settings. Kim is passionate about the providing high quality health care to those who may not have access otherwise. She looks forward to working with the Asheville community and other Safety Net Partners in bringing affordable high quality health care here in Asheville and to the surrounding communities.

Dr. Kasee Metcalf
Dental Director
Dr. Kasee Metcalf is a general dentist. She received a BS in Biology from Wake Forest University and attended dental school at UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Metcalf completed residency training at MAHEC in Asheville. A native of western North Carolina, Dr. Metcalf was happy to return to the mountains to practice dentistry. In her free time she enjoys backpacking, travelling, and the Asheville food scene. Recently, she has made four trips to Haiti to provide free dental services. She and her husband have a puppy named Dallas.

Jamie
Ferguson
VP of Quality & Population Health
Jamie comes to Asheville from southeast Michigan where she worked in community health care and public health settings since finishing school in 2005. She brings with her a love for data and how it can be used to tell stories to improve healthcare services and patient outcomes. She holds a Masters degree in Applied Medical Anthropology from the University of Memphis and another in Public Health Epidemiology from the University of Michigan.
She is married with two daughters, and together they enjoy camping with their dogs, going on adventures, learning new things, meeting new people and cheering on the University of Michigan football team.

Cody
McKinney
Chief Financial Officer
Cody has over 30 years in the accounting and financial management arena. He has 20 years in public accounting, including running his own CPA firm for twelve years where he focused on not-for-profit and governmental accounting and auditing.
Cody has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a Masters of Business Administration from Regis University. As a dedicated life-long learner, he has also attended Warren Wilson College and Appalachian State University. Cody has served on Boards of Directors of numerous not-for-profit organizations, and is a past member of the Spruce Pine Rotary Club.
Cody is a member of Western North Carolina Church in Spruce Pine, NC. He is married, and he has two sons. His most proud moment was being named “Father of the Year” by WLOS TV in Asheville in 2009 for his commitment to caring for his son with cerebral palsy. His hobbies include fly fishing, watching soccer and UNC Tar Heels sports, early American history, and data analytics.

Ann
Rubino, MSPH, FACHE
Chief Operating Officer
Ann Rubino, Chief Operating Officer, is an accomplished healthcare professional with 30 years’ experience in physician practice management within ambulatory healthcare organizations. Prior to WNCCHS, she worked with health systems and community health organizations in Rhode Island and Georgia in developing and managing large physician groups. Her skills include medical group operations management, strategic planning; physician practice acquisitions and compensation models and leading organization-wide improvement initiatives.
She has a master’s degree in public health from UNC-Chapel Hill and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, most recently serving as a State Chapter President for ACHE. Additionally, she possesses a certification in healthcare quality and change management.
Ann and her husband live in Fletcher, NC and she enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and interior decorating.

Dr. Todd Wallenius
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Wallenius entered medicine with a desire to provide whole person, team based, integrated behavioral health primary medical care to individuals and families in a community health center setting. After completing UNC School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, where he earned awards in Family Medicine, Community Service and The James Bell Bullitt Award in recognition of unusual achievement, Dr. Wallenius completed a Family Medicine Residency and Behavioral Medicine Fellowship at MAHEC. Dr. Wallenius maintains certifications from the American Boards of Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Dr. Wallenius joined WNCCHS in 1998, and has served as Medical Director since 2012.

Danielle
Fuller
VP of Human Resources
Danielle Fuller serves as VP of Human Resources bringing over 30 years of HR Leadership and Organizational Development experience to WNCCHS. Prior to WNCCHS, she worked in a diversity of organizations from health care, human services and high tech. She is committed to serving the community and fostering a work environment that promotes diversity, equity & inclusion along with positive collaborative energy.
She holds a B.S. from SUNY @ Albany in Industrial Relations/Personnel Management and achieved a Black Belt in Lean Principles.
Outside of work, Danielle and her husband enjoy travelling, exploring small towns, being outdoors and gardening. A fan of ice hockey in the South is a fan of the ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
