Express Care

At Western North Carolina Community Health Services, Express Care provides walk-in treatment for non-life-threatening medical issues that need quick attention. It’s a good choice for minor illnesses or injuries that can’t wait, like earaches, sore throats, rashes, or small sprains.

Interpretation and translation services are available at no cost to you. Please let us know if you need help in a language other than English.

Please Note: Express Care is not for complex or ongoing health needs and should not take the place of regular visits with your assigned provider. We encourage you to keep seeing your primary care team to manage your health and achieve the best outcomes.

UPDATE 2025: TEMPORARY CLOSURE UPDATE

Starting April 28, WNCCHS Express Care at Minnie Jones Health Center will be temporarily closed.

We are still accepting walk-in patients and will do our best to have you seen by a provider if there are openings or cancellations. If we are not able to see you the same day, we will refer you to a local Urgent Care or Emergency Room so you can get the care you need.
