In 2011, she transitioned into health care quality work at a community health center in southeast Michigan, where she later served as Vice President of Quality. Prior to joining WNCCHS, she spent 10 years working in community health centers with responsibility for quality improvement, population health, care management, health information technology, outreach and enrollment, IT, and marketing.
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Toledo, a Master of Arts in Applied Medical Anthropology from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan.
Jamie and her family relocated to Western North Carolina after she joined WNCCHS and quickly found the Asheville area to be a beautiful place to raise her children. She is proud to be part of the health center movement and believes that access to health care is foundational to the health of individuals, populations, and communities.
