WNCCHS All Staff Meeting Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined our All Staff Meeting last Wednesday. It was a packed agenda, and your engagement and feedback were key parts of the day.

We started by reflecting on the resilience of our Helene Heroes, one year after the storm. From there, leadership reviewed our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, with updates across the pillars of Team, Equity, Quality, Growth, Marketing & Development, and Finance. Together, we identified three new areas of focus: Access to Care, Patient Experience, and Operational Efficiency.

Other highlights included:

  • Performance Management: moving into monthly one-on-ones and preparing for goal setting tied to our 2026 priorities.

  • Legislative & Finance Updates: new Medicaid changes, 340B pharmacy challenges, and continued focus on strengthening our financial position.

  • Pharmacy: exciting progress with our new pick-up location and contract pharmacy launch, plus a reminder that each of us can help grow WNCCHS’s pharmacy use.

  • Employee Handbook: several updated policies, including remote work, PTO, media requests, and the new December 24 holiday.

  • Staff Satisfaction Survey: nearly 70% of employees participated. Top themes were communication, retention, appreciation, and patient access. After reviewing the data, we broke into table discussions to brainstorm solutions together.

  • I-Team: the Infrastructure Team shared their first projects, tackling onboarding, retention, data, and patient experience improvements.
