WNCCHS Lowers Fees for Most Vulnerable Patients

As the cost of living continues to rise — from housing and childcare to groceries and utilities — WNCCHS is choosing to move in a different direction.

For 2026, our Board of Directors approved lower sliding fee scale rates for qualifying patients. Fees were reduced across income tiers to help lessen the financial burden on individuals and families living on very low incomes.

For example:

  • Medical visits fees lowered by 25–30% in the lowest income tiers

  • Behavioral Health visit fees cut in half (50% reduction)

  • Preventive Dental visit fees reduced by 8–13%

  • And similar reductions across additional services income tiers

Our Sliding Fee Discount Program adjusts the cost of care based on household income and family size using Federal Poverty Level guidelines. Uninsured patients (as well as insured patients who qualify) can receive discounted rates for medical, behavioral health, and dental services.

During times of economic strain, access to care should become more accessible — not less. We remain committed to raising the support needed so that our most vulnerable patients are not asked to carry the heaviest financial burden.
