WNCCHS All Staff Meeting Recap & Gallery
WNCCHS staff came together last Wednesday for our March All Staff Meeting, hosted by the Buncombe County Health Department. The afternoon focused on connecting across teams, sharing updates, and creating space for staff to learn more about how different parts of the organization work together.
You can view the full slideshow here and find the handouts and other materials from the Departmental Visits and Collaborative Corners here.
The format was intentionally interactive, with time built in for conversation, movement, and cross-department engagement. Thank you to the Buncombe County Health Department for hosting and to Gilead Sciences for providing lunch.
Leadership shared progress on 2026 priorities, including communication, staff experience, patient access, and financial sustainability. Work is underway across teams to improve scheduling, reduce wait times, strengthen onboarding, and support more consistent workflows.
We also covered safety protocols, including fire alarm response and evacuation procedures, to ensure staff are clear on expectations across locations.
A large portion of the meeting was dedicated to hands-on, small-group engagement:
Departmental Visits: Staff rotated through department stations to learn about team roles, priorities, and how work connects across WNCCHS.
Collaborative Corners: Teams shared current projects and gathered staff input on topics like DPI/I-Team work, onboarding, integration across services, and the pharmacy move.
These sessions were designed to give staff more visibility into areas they don’t regularly interact with and to create space for questions and feedback.
Staff also received an update on our work with Coleman Associates and the work being done by our I-Team and Dramatic Performance Improvement (DPI) team. Current efforts are focused on improving access and efficiency, including:
Pre-visit planning
Appointment confirmation workflows
Team huddles
Reducing missed appointment slots
We also recognized staff celebrating milestone anniversaries (2025) with WNCCHS:
