Carlos Salgado, PharmD, CPP

CLINICAL PHARMACIST PRACTITIONER

Dr. Carlos Salgado is a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner who joined WNCCHS in 2026 after completing a postgraduate residency in ambulatory care with the Indian Health Service at Cherokee Indian Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in 2024.

Dr. Salgado has experience providing comprehensive medication management in primary care and is passionate about improving access to high-quality care for underserved communities. He approaches patient care as a collaborative partnership, emphasizing careful listening, clear explanations of treatment options, and respect for each patient’s individual goals and autonomy. He strives to provide thoughtful, evidence-based guidance that helps patients make informed decisions about their health.

Dr. Salgado is currently pursuing board certification in ambulatory care pharmacy and certification as an HIV Pharmacist.

Outside of work, Carlos enjoys spending time with his two younger brothers and his dog, watching soccer, listening to hip-hop, cooking, and adding to his collection of snapbacks and baseball caps. He also enjoys comedy, science fiction, and horror movies and shows.
